Introduction
I developed this breakout board to enable me to experiment with the Maxim MAX3421E SPI to USB converter IC this device is supplied in 32 pin 0.5mm pitch TQFP package and supports 8 input pins in addition to 8 output pins.
The device runs in both host and peripheral usb modes howeveer in this design only the host connection has been used since i already had a peripheral interface breakout board already and therefore didn’t need this capability.
I have written a basic application which simply preforms an I/O test by reading the data from the CPIN and writes the value back to GPOUT.
USB interface testing can be tested using the application below.
